Got 99 stresses but my website ain't one of them
It all starts off so simple
I think I might need a website...
How much will it cost?
What hosting service should I use?
What domain name should I use?
What is the difference between a URL and a domain name?
What even is a domain name?
Then people start talking about SEO and saying things like: Users have different reasons for visiting a site but the destination is always the same.
Add to this the pressure of maintaining a site and it feels like way too much stress to bother with.
Think about your own use of the net. Most people who visit a website never visit it again. Most visits don’t last more than a few seconds.
Be yourself. Be authentic. If you're trying to be something you're not it's gonna get way too stressful.
HANDOVER NOTE: This site is still in Draft form only. You can preview a live version at any time by clicking on Preview. When you’re happy to go live, all you need to do is click Publish (both buttons can be found in the top right hand corner of any of your content pages).
Wix is a free hosting platform, but you’ll need to upgrade if you want extended PayPal options (see section 5), to add a new domain name or to link to an existing domain name. To do this, click the Purple Upgrade button on the Site Manager page (see section 1) and select an option.
From here you can connect a domain name & manage your redirects, access the SEO wizard & analytics tool etc.
To edit site, click on the Manage Site button which takes you to the Site Manager page. This is the behind the scenes, office workings of the site. It’s a pretty straightforward place.
To edit your site, click on the blue, Edit Site button. This will take you to your Landing page and allow editing.
To return to the Dashboard at any time, click on the Site button at the top of any edit screen (next to Pages), and click on My Dashboard from the pop up menu.
